Tom Marron

A devoted father, Tom Marron, experienced firsthand the challenges of supporting a child with an eating disorder. His daughter was diagnosed with Anorexia at the tender age of 11, and their journey towards recovery was filled with obstacles. As they sought help, they discovered a lack of readily available support and had to navigate the complexities of the illness alone.

Driven by his love for his daughter and a desire to create a brighter future for others facing similar struggles, Tom has become a passionate advocate for raising awareness about eating disorders. Reflecting on his own mistakes, he understands the devastating impact of giving in to the demands of the illness. Through his experiences, he has gained valuable insights, learning that uncomfortable nights, filled with yelling and screaming, can paradoxically be signs of progress and a catalyst for outsmarting the eating disorder.

Beyond his role as a dedicated father, Tom is an accomplished professional in Human Resources. When he’s not fighting for his daughter’s well-being or championing the cause of eating disorder awareness, he finds solace in playing sports and embracing an outgoing lifestyle.

Tom's passion extends beyond advocacy in his role within Flutters of Hope. He uses his craftsmanship and skills to create wooden crates that carry the essential supplies to distract and educate individuals on their recovery journey. These crates serve as a tangible representation of hope and support, containing resources that offer solace, distraction, and valuable education.
