John Falotico

John Daniel Falotico is proud to serve Flutters of Hope as the Race Director for its annual running event.  John Daniel is a husband and career of a very strong and inspirational woman who struggles with disordered eating.  John Daniel knows how all-encompassing this disease can be and is in awe every day at the strength and resilience of his wife.

It was also through his wife that John Daniel was introduced to the concept of ultra-marathons.  As it turns out there are those for whom 26.2 miles is merely a warm up and who will run upwards of 100 miles in 24 hours or more.  John Daniel has completed a handful of ultras including a 50k and a 3 hour endurance run.

In addition to running races, John Daniel can “run” races.  He has been the Race Director for the Schenectady Firefighters Cancer Foundation Run 4 Your Life 5k since 2021, shepherding that event through the year of Covid Lock Down in a virtual form and seeing a record number of participants, record profits for the non profit it supports, and returning the beloved ChowderFest portion of the event.  He also was instrumental in the return of the Catskill Spring Rush, a run, bike, paddle triathlon in his hometown of Catskill, NY.

When not running or running races, John Daniel is a Schenectady Firefighter, a bookworm, a fledgling bagpiper, and a loving dog daddy to a senior rescue.  He is active in the St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish where he was confirmed and married, and has served on the Church Council of First United Methodist Church of Schenectady and ex officio with SiCM until 2020.
